Thomas Bennedsen was born in Denmark in 1977 and holds a degree in Product Design from the Art Center College of Design in California, recognized as one of the top design schools worldwide. Through more than a decade his designs for clients such as, JACOB JENSEN™, Velux and Lightyears have received numerous international awards.

About his approach, Thomas says; ”I design experiences! What makes a design successful is the interaction it shares with its environment. It must bring something new to the table! The challenge is not only to create an aesthetic, but to go beyond the visual, tapping into all our senses, bringing the design to life. My process revolves around a focal idea of questioning tradition and convention, and combining traditionally unrelated ideas to evoke a sense of life and give usefulness to the designs."
